Welcome to the Board of Trustees' website. The purpose of this website is to pull together in one place the information that would be relevant and useful to both new and current trustees. Please forgive any difficulty you may have in using it, but please also provide any feedback you may have, as they would be most appreciated.

Please note that the information contained here is divided into the following areas:

1. About our School: This area is mainly intended for new trustees who are not familiar with Crane. It contains the following information:

  • A brief history of the school, Philosophy Statement.
  • Any current major activities that might be of interest to trustees,
  • Calendar: The school calendar,
  • Staff and Faculty: Staff and faculty directory with contact information, and in the future, staff biographies and highlights,
  • Parents: Information on the Parents For Crane (PFC) organization, its current officers, and major initiatives.

2. Board of Trustees:

  • Policies and Procedures: Strategic Plan, By-Laws and Broad Policies, and the NAIS Principles of Good Practice,
  • Trustees: A directory and eventually, biographies,
  • Committees: List and description of the current year’s committees,
  • Calendar: This merely contains dates that are important to trustees, not the full school calendar
  • Resources: Pointers to various hardcopy and on-line resources on trusteeship and education,
  • FAQ

4. Downloads: Any downloadable information. New items will be announced via email and on the website,

5. Gallery: The gallery currently has two categories: 2008-2009 Gathering, and 2008-2098 Happenings. Any trustee may upload (click on ‘Upload Pictures’ on the left side menu.) The “Gathering” area is meant to contain photos of any trustee gatherings (retreats, parties, etc.) and the “Happenings” area is meant to contain photos of happenings that might be of interest to trustees (e.g. photos of construction, new equipment such as the solar panels, etc.)
